Why Hot Rubber?

Hot rubberized asphalt is the best way to waterproof a concrete deck. It is applied in at least 2 liquid layers, so it both seals uniformly around all penetrations and is a redundant system. This is even more critical in a VRA system, where the waterproofing layer is much more prone to excessive moisture or liquid water as well as under load from the plant and pavers above. Henry 790-11 and 7901-11EV are exceptional choices. They are highly rubberized asphalts, so they are flexible.
